Jane: Design Director

Jane brings with her 18 years’ experience working at the BBC where she has been involved in its digital transformation, including being part of the teams that launched BBC iPlayer, early mobile web services for BBC News and Sport, leading design work for the YouView set-top box electronic programme guide, and leading the team that produces award-winning children’s apps like CBeebies Playtime and Storytime.

She has established and grown specialist UX discipline teams in Design Research, UX Writing and UX Architecture, and used design thinking to transform how programme makers can use digital platforms to create more impact for their audiences.

Most recently she has been working with colleagues to develop ethical design practices, looking at measures of impact which are related less on attention and more on human values. Jane believes that design can have a huge impact: not just on people’s motivation to consume stuff, but on their lives.

Christian: UX Designer

Christian is a designer with over 20 years of experience in website design and development, designing his very first website in 1997. Christian graduated in 2003 with a BSc (Hons) in Multimedia Computing, specialising in graphic and interface design. With a broad background in everything web-related, he specialises in UX, UI, branding, workshops, public speaking and pitches. Christian can help bridge the gap between design and development, and is a championing voice for inclusion and accessibility.

Rufus: UX Designer

Rufus joined his first digital agency in 1998 after attending North East Scotland College, back in the hazy days of Adobe Flash and Zip Drives. Over 20 years later he has built invaluable experience working for global clients across multiple sectors. Along the way he has been a student design mentor, managed multi-disciplinary teams, won some design awards and helped establish a non-profit design events organisation. With this wealth of experience Rufus is able to develop the detail and systems of a functional user experience as well as being able to work with clients to realise their digital strategy.

Alex: Animator & Illustrator

Alex is our in-house animator and illustrator. Working on a wide range of bespoke animation and brand identity projects.

Alex graduated from Salford University with a First Class Honours degree in Graphic Design, specialised in Motion Graphics.

With a background in motion Graphics, illustration and traditional art, Alex works closely with our clients to identify the right creative direction, and to create beautiful animations and illustrations.

Flora: UX Designer

Flora is a UX Designer at Reason Digital. She has a vast knowledge of Anthropology which she is eager to combine with her design skills to make a positive social impact. She joined Reason Digital because she loves seeing the positive changes her work can make.

Gareth: UX Designer

Gareth brings a unique mix of skills to our team. He has 4 years’ experience in multi-agency child protection. Also, Gareth has worked with and advocated for hundreds of vulnerable young people.

During his time at Reason Digital, he quickly earned two consecutive ‘first rate work mate’ awards for his work on projects and collaborations with colleagues. His passion for the work we do and the personality he brings to the team has made him a popular addition to the Reason Digital Design Team.
