Salary Range: £24,250 – £30,000

We’re looking for a talented Mid-Level Quality Assurance / Test Engineer to join us in creating apps, online services and business-critical systems for organisations across the country. You will work on a range of exciting and life-changing digital projects, examples of some of the projects we have already worked on include;

  • Apps to make sex workers safer
  • Web-based platforms to help the community access underutilized resources like transport and venues
  • Apps that help prevent trips and falls for older people
  • Platforms to help businesses and investors measure their impact on society
  • Apps that make it easy to donate unwanted goods to charity

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the definition and execution of the test approach for a product
  • Creating & translating acceptance criteria into acceptance tests to verify functional and non-functional requirements
  • Liaising effectively with other disciplines including developers, designers and project managers
  • Executing tests through a variety of techniques to validate requirements and ensure our work meets the highest standards for each release
  • Performing cross browser and device compatibility testing
  • Creating and prioritising test cases for regression and automation
  • Making sure our products are accessible
  • Raising and prioritising issues for bug tracking
  • Supporting our clients during the sign off and UAT phases
  • Contributing to discussions on process and procedural improvements

Skills & Experience

  • Testing of websites and apps, ideally in an agile agency environment
  • Highly proficient in conducting web based testing with an eye for detail 
  • Working knowledge and experience of test processes and methodologies including defect management tools (preferably including JIRA)
  • Ability to understand business requirements and design documents to provide meaningful feedback
  • Knowledge of automated testing and helping integrate testing into the delivery process
  • Technical knowledge to work efficiently with a technical team and ‘translate’ between technical and non-technical language
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate activities on multiple concurrent projects
