The challengeTo not only create an emotive, memorable and informative website, but one that encourages action, and increases donations.
The resultA bold and beautiful new website which has led to increased engagement, interest and online donations.
Act for Wildlife wanted to increase fundraising, stature and brand awareness in the scientific and conservation community. Their ultimate aim is to help preserve the Earth’s natural resources. Our mission was to design and build a website that will help achieve this.
What we did
Our team of designers worked closely with the Act for Wildlife team and collaborated with an external branding agency to ensure that the new site not only met its functional requirements, but was visually compelling and provided a fitting window into the beautiful animals and habitats it seeks to protect and preserve.
Act for Wildlife wanted to ensure that their fundraising and donation efforts were focused in the right direction. We created a new function so that supporters can donate to a specific animal type or campaign. All of this information is tracked and captured, allowing Act for Wildlife to use this data to make informed organisational decisions.
The adjustable content design system gives the ability to create striking posts and conservations news with ease. The variety of content repeater options and the new “story” post type gives plenty of visual choices and flexibility.
We took particular care to ensure that the user journey was equally rewarding, and effective, across all screen sizes.
With more useful and engaging content, visitors are getting more value from the new website and are choosing to engage and interact. Not only did we see an increase in sessions and amount of time spent on the website, but the new design generated a 45% increase in email sign-ups and an 8% increase in donations.
