When it comes to being a charity and exploring the potential of digital, sometimes it can be the simple, straightforward questions that are hardest to get answers to. At Reason, we've decided to put an end to that. We answer the question, what happens once your charity website goes live?
What we did
Working with charities to understand the stuff that they really want to know, we’ve created a series of videos featuring our expert team answering some of those burning questions.
How much does a website really cost? How does content migration cost? Do we need an app? What is a digital strategy? These are the types of queries we want to give you a real, transparent answer to.
Let’s get back to basics with our Questions Never Answered video series.
What happens when your charity website goes live?
So, what happens when your website goes live? You’ve just launched your brand new website into the wild & you may be thinking what happens now? It’s a good question. First of all, remember that this isn’t the end – the journey is actually only just beginning and the key to its continued success will be monitoring, learning & evolving over time. As well as being on hand to answer any technical queries that may crop up along the way, we’re also here to advise you on how to get the most out of your brand new platform.
Before we launch, you’ll have received training on how to manage your website including administration and content population. Once live you’ll be confident that you or your team have the skills you need to get the most out of it.
Some top tips for the post-launch phase:
– Firstly, keep an eye on analytics to see how visitors are engaging with your site and learn from that.
– Secondly, use the offline or preview features to build content right away – the more you use the system, the more familiar you’re going to get with with it.
– Thirdly, gather feedback from those who matter most – your end users. See how they are finding your new website or service – their experiences are invaluable!
– And finally, set objectives for what you’d like to do next and get planning!
