Social Value Strategist for IMPACT
Paul Joyce is a social researcher who has worked as a Research Fellow at several North West universities. He is a sociologist who specialises in the understanding of risk management, health policy and the production of social value. He has developed a range of research skills, both qualitative and quantitative, with practical knowledge of using high-level techniques in a number of research situations.
Paul has a PhD from the University of Salford and a postgraduate qualification in Social Research Methods and Statistics from the University of Manchester.
Paul has been at Reason Digital for four years, principally as a member of the research team that created the development strategy for the social value tool, Impact. He has expert practical knowledge of how social value can be operationalised within a wider reporting process. He has advised organisation on the selection of appropriate social value metrics and their value in presenting social impact to internal and external stakeholders.
Paul has ten years experience of working with housing association as a non-executive board member. He was chair of Chorley Community Housing and the Adactus Housing Group. He is currently deputy chair of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing.
